Tour itinerary:
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains –Kasbahs – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges
Your driver/guide will pick you up at 8 AM from your accommodation in Marrakech and start an explorative desert journey full of adventures and discovery, drive towards Dades gorges. On the way we will cross the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the TizinTichka, wading through numerous villages of Berber nomads who inhabit the zone. Continue via the beautiful desert scenic road to reach the Kasbah ait ben haddou, a world heritage site and unique beautiful fortified village that present the beautiful Berber architecture, this site is a best destination that still attract the film makers from all over the world, after exploring the Kasbah with a local guide, you can enjoy a traditional lunch in a local restaurant overlong the Kasbah. After lunch, our journey will continue towards Ouarzazate, where we will stop to visit the cinema studios (optional and entrance fees not included), these studios where many famous movies were shot, such as, gladiator, heaven, nazarist, the jewel of the nile, …, continue to the city of Ouarzazate, where we will stop for photos of the amazing Kasbah taourirte another live example of the beautiful architecture, Then, we will continue to Dades Gorges, crossing the Valley of Roses and the road of the thousand kasbahs. Arrival in Dades Valley accommodation and dinner at the hotel.
Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga
Breakfast at the hotel. Then, you will have time to explore and discover the great canyon and gorges of Dades before driving back through the green valley of Dades towards the Todra Gorge, where you can take a pleasant walk between its imposing canyon walls more than 200 meters, After a walking tour in the palm oasis of Todra, we will continue driving to the desert through the palm grove of Tafilalet. Arrival at the hotel on foot dunes of Erg Chebbi, relax and enjoy this breathtaking scenery while sipping a welcome mint tea waiting for a camels, then, you will start a new exporative caravan camel trek accompanied by an experienced camel man, after an 1 hour and a half of camel ride wading through sand dunes to the heart of the desert to watch the beautiful sunset. Wrapped by the Great Dune, and enjoying the music of drums, dinner Moroccan tea, you can see the immense sky of stars and sleep in nomadic tents.
Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Errachidia – Azrou – Fez
Try to wake up early to contemplate a lifetime sunrise over the golden dunes of Merzouga enjoying the change of colors with sunrise, then, ride camels or 4WD back to the hotels to have a breakfast and shower.
And then, meet your driver/guide to start a new journey towards Fes, we head Erfoud, where we can stop for a short visit to a fossil factory, then, continue through the Ziz Valley enjoying the amazing panoramic views of palm grove and gorges. Continue driving via the desert and arid lands crossing the pass of the Tizi-n-Talghomt to reach Midelt, where we will stop to have lunch, After lunch, our explorative journey continue enjoying the change of the landscapes from the desert lands to the green mountains, at the cedar forest of Azrou, we will stop to meet the wild Barbary apes and take some photos with them, then, we head to Ifrane (called the Moroccan Switzerland), not far we will continue through the greem farms to reach Fez, Morocco’s cultural and spiritual capital and the first imperial city in Morocco. Arrival and transfer to your hotel.
